Welcome to Birdseekers Natural Selection – a new collection of specialty wildlife tours that will keep us in the forefront of natural history and wildlife tours.

Ever thought you would like to spend longer in some of our fabulous accommodations, or maybe wanted a little more time to savour some of the wonderful species on offer. Perhaps you wanted to come away with stunning photos rather than an enviable huge list of birds that we so often seem to get.

We realise that everyone wants something different from a tour, and with this in mind we have created the Birdseekers Natural Selection. We are not trying to distract from our extremely popular programme of Birdseekers tours, which continue to rank amongst the worlds very best in wildlife watching experiences. Everyone knows that we run many tours such as Costa Rica, where we are superior to any rivals with respect to our bird finding abilities and highly enviable bird lists. What has become apparent is that many of our existing clients (friends) want enjoy highly rewarding and memorable experiences without the intense schedule.

So, we have now created several new tours specifically aimed at certain people who want something a little different. Our Natural Selection not only offers Easy Pace Tours, it also encompasses many new and exciting ideas that have simply been waiting for the right time. With Natural Selection, we are offering a whole new range of tours from Dragonflies, Butterflies & Moths, to Mammals, Cetaceans, Reptiles and even a Bat tour to Hungary where we will search out no less than 25 species of Bat, mostly in their day roosts. We will also offer several thrilling and very focused photographic tours.

For those of you with a more independent outlook, we have selected some of our very best guides from around the world to offer private, select and totally customised tours where “target species” will be the sole aim. You provide a list of species missing off your lists and we will provide the guide who can offer the very best chances of finding them. This web site features details of these tours as they are finalized. Some of the ideas still being planned include: Dragonflies of Florida, Monarch Butterflies in Mexico, Reptiles in Arizona, Bats of Hungary, Mammals of Chile, Dragonflies of Lesvos, Butterflies in Spain, Orcas in Norway, Belugas, Spanish Lynx, Mammal migration in Tanzania’s Serengeti, and photo tours of Kenya, Costa Rica and Ecuador,. This represents just a sample and we are busy putting programmes together. On all of our trips we will have a main focus but this does not mean we are blinkered and we will always find time to look at any and every form of wildlife.
